About CarlWood Lumber
CarlWood is a family owned lumber manufacturing company situated in Maple Ridge, British Columbia; about one hour’s drive east of downtown Vancouver.
As we approach our third decade of operation, our company has been a supplier of high quality BC hardwoods (Red Alder, Pacific Coast Maple and Western White Birch) and softwoods (Western Hemlock, Western Red Cedar and Douglas Fir) to wholesale distributors across Canada and the United States as well as China, Europe, Japan, Korea and dozens of other nations.
Our main customers of Canadian hardwood and softwood include furniture manufacturers, millwork factories, cabinet and moulding manufacturers and wood importers and distributors. CarlWood is also a manufacturer of high quality crane mats, swamp pads, jack-pads, wedges, blocks, crossing posts and industrial grade blocking. CarlWood mats have been used in government construction projects as well as commercial applications across western Canada.
After serving for 27 years managing West Coast Hardwood Ltd., Robert and Sylvia Carl founded CarlWood in 1984. From its beginnings as a small distribution warehouse in North Vancouver Robert grew CarlWood into being one of the largest hardwood manufacturers in our home province of British Columbia. The goals for CarlWood remain the same today as they were during its founding: to offer the most dependable service and delivery; to supply quality hardwood and softwood products; to uphold our reputation as a sustainable business run with integrity for its customers and employees; and to be a responsible steward and practitioner of this amazing natural resource.
