CarlWood distributes only the highest grade softwood from BC forests. Millworkers, furniture makers, house and building manufacturing and many other production facilities use softwood in the construction of their products. In recent years softwoods, especially Western Hemlock, have started to be preferred in developing countries such as India where local craftsmen have started calling it "B.C. teak”.

Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata) is found on the Pacific Coast as far north as Alaska and in the valleys of the interior of B.C. This species is unique to the Pacific Northwest.  More about Western Red Cedar Lumber

Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) is Canada's largest tree. It is found throughout the southern half of British Columbia. This species is one of Canada's strongest commercial softwoods.  More about Douglas Fir Lumber
