Softwood Lumber Products

Western Hemlock, Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar

CarlWood distributes only the highest grade softwood from BC forests. Millworkers, furniture makers, house and building manufacturing and many other production facilities use softwood in the construction of their products.

In recent years softwoods, especially Western Hemlock, have started to be preferred in developing countries such as India where local craftsmen have started calling it "B.C. teak”.

hemlock icon Western Hemlock (Tsuga heterophylla) and Amabilis Fir (Abies amabilis) are two species logged and marketed together as Hem/Fir.
